The student will learn to write simple programs in the 68HC11 assembly language on a PC and down load them to a 68HC11 board. These programs together with electronic components interfaced to the board will flash lights, control motors, display numbers, measure temperatures, and generate sounds from a speaker. Students should have good computer skills, and be familiar with basic algebra, gates, simple circuits and programming.
